Welcome To Yash Yoga School

Authentic Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh — The Yoga Capital of the World

Founded in 2008, Yash Yoga School is a traditional gurukul-style school based in Upper Tapovan, Rishikesh — the recognised world capital of yoga. We are registered with Yoga Alliance USA as an RYS 200, RYS 300, and RYS 500 school, which means every certificate we award is internationally recognised and allows you to register as a certified yoga teacher anywhere in the world.

Our Yoga Teacher Training Courses (YTTC) are led by Yogi Yashpal Ji, our founder with over 15 years of teaching experience, and a team of masters who hold degrees in Yoga Science. We teach classical Hatha Yoga and Ashtanga Vinyasa — not gym yoga. You will study Asana, Pranayama, Meditation, Anatomy, Yoga Philosophy (Patanjali Yoga Sutras) and Teaching Methodology in a structured 26-day residential programme.

Over 10,000 graduates from 60+ countries have trained with us. Whether you are a complete beginner or deepening an existing practice, our curriculum gives you the knowledge and confidence to teach professionally. Accommodation and three daily Satvik meals are included.

Why Choose Yash Yoga for Your Teacher Training?

Thousands of students from around the world choose us every year. Here is what makes the difference.

Our school is not a commercial hub — it is a Gurukul. Nestled in Upper Tapovan, Rishikesh, the sounds of the Ganges and the Himalayan air enhance every practice. We have taught traditional yoga since 2008, not "gym yoga." Yogi Yashpal Ji, our founder, trained in the classical Sivananda tradition before establishing Yash Yoga School.

We go beyond the mat. Our 200-hour curriculum covers: Asana (Hatha & Ashtanga), Yoga Anatomy and Physiology, Pranayama and Bandhas, Yoga Philosophy (Patanjali Yoga Sutras), Mantra Chanting, and Teaching Methodology with supervised practice teaching. You graduate knowing not just how to do a pose but why.

  • ✓ Hatha Yoga: Static postures, alignment and breath control. Builds a strong, safe foundation — ideal for all levels.
  • ✓ Ashtanga Vinyasa: A dynamic flowing sequence linked with breath that builds internal heat, strength and discipline. Taught in the Mysore tradition.

Upon completion you receive a certificate eligible for registration with Yoga Alliance USA as an RYT-200, RYT-300 or RYT-500. Yoga Alliance certification is the global standard — recognised by studios, retreat centres and wellness employers in over 100 countries.

Graduating from Yash Yoga School means joining a family of 10,000+ teachers worldwide. We offer post-course guidance on: starting your own yoga studio, becoming a corporate wellness coach, leading international yoga retreats, and teaching online. The relationship doesn't end when the course does.
